India-Israel Relations			AMBASSADOR NAVTEJ SARNA Ambassador Navtej Sarna joined the Indian Foreign Service in 1980 after studying Law at Delhi University. He has served as a diplomat in several countries including Russia, Poland, Bhutan, Iran, the US and at the Permanent Mission of India to the UN, Geneva. Most recently, he has served as India’s Foreign office Spokesperson in New Delhi from 2002 to 2008. He is the author of two novels - “The Exile” and “We Weren't Lovers Like That” and two books of non-fiction - “The Book of Nanak" and "Folk Tales of Poland". He is a regular contributor to the Times Literary Supplement (UK), The Hindu and other journals in India.
